Installation (photographs, paper, fabric, ceramic)
2013

at Chelsea College of Art and Design, 2013

I tried to imagine the image of forgotten time and asked myself what kind of shape would it have, what kind of texture, and what colour would it have? This installation work examined how to visualize, in an abstract way, the moment which had already gone from my memory. I installed several experiments in the space. For instance I filmed my body gesture when I talked about forgetting, and focused on my hands' gesture which had a unique movement and then enlarged the images and copied the photographs. I used the ceramic pieces which were embodied by my finger movement of tearing the fragment up with the figure drawing of my hands, on tracing paper, lights, as well as found objects at the studio such as bits of wood. This is experimental work to search for the relationship between time and memory as well as the body by a varied approach.
